Oscar Fish
Oscar fish are said to have one of the finest personalities of all freshwater fish. Some Oscar fish are said to recognize their owners. Oscars often have beautiful colors, such as red, albino and tiger (black and orange). Since they can grow as large as 10-14 inches long, they demand a tank with plenty of space. A single adult Oscar fish requires as much as 50 gallons of tank space. You'll find that Oscar fish can be messy, requiring that you be vigilant about vacuuming your tank. Lastly, keep in mind that Oscar fish are aggressive. They can sometimes live together, but are best to be alone or in a group of at least 3 (in a very large tank).
