Terrier

Within the Terrier group, you'll find dogs such as the Airedale Terrier, Bull Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Fox Terrier, Norfolk Terrier, Parson Jack Russell Terrier and the Pit Bull Terrier. These dogs are known to be very active and often vociferous. Many held the role of killers of rodents several hundred years ago. They are fearless and loyal. These breeds may be too active for some, who might be seeking a more laid back companion. However, if you seek a dog that is a bundle of energy, one that could keep you laughing and smiling, and if you have the patience, these dogs might be right for you.

One of the most popular breeds with the Terrier group is the Parson Jack Russell Terrier. This is my personal favorite. You may have seen this breed on the popular television show "Frazier". These little dogs are energetic, funny and handsome. They have very short hair and stay small. The one key consideration is whether or not the prospective owner has time to dedicate to this very active and alter breed. They need a lot of attention, but with the proper care, they'll provide you, your family and friends lots of smiles and laughs!
